Six Months Later…

My apologies for the six month break in posting. I’m realizing that this blog is not something that I will update that often, I really don’t know what to say about my new home in Cali to the entire internets other than I love it- it’s wonderful and bizarre and beautiful and ugly all at the same time- I think this song has a clever take on my new home-

I’m thinkin in the future I'll update this blog sporadically with pics but in general I’m gonna be pretty willy-nilly about this site. I think I'd just rather show you where I live from time to time via pics rather than write about it. In the meantime though, keep checkin my India Blog- I will be trying to update that blog often during the next few months.

I have been having a great time in the bay area and have spent a lot of my time exploring this part of the country. I’ve been lucky to have lots of family and friends visit and I’ve made lots of new friends during my time here and I am so grateful to all those folks. Anyways, I’m packin up and moving to San Francisco from my current home in Mountain View this week, and then I'm off to India mid-month and I’m super excited to move to the city- I hope to post a couple pics of my new SF pad before I go! In the meantime, enjoy some pics from my last six months in Cali!

Pics from the Bay Area!

Hey homies! Not trying to rub it in but the nice California weather has allowed me to spend this winter outside without freezing my butt off. I heard that a JPEG is worth 1000 words so I guess this is a 10,000 word essay!

India 2 California!

Whew! I made it. I've been back from India since mid-November and over New Year's (and after rocking with a homie in Atlanta) I made the drive out to California. It was a beautiful drive, at least during the day, and I'm happy to have a new home in a corner of the world with so much natural beauty. There are mountains everywhere, I got plenty of hiking to do, plus there's a great music scene here. Those two, along with temperatures that are NEVER as gross as Chennai or DC make me super excited to be here. Well, that and I haven't had a home since last May- I went to India for six months after that and then stayed with my folks while home. It was great being home with my family but living at home is something I hadn't experienced in a while and I'm glad to have my own pad again. I can't tell you how happy I felt putting clothes in a dresser- it was the first time since May I had a dresser! Anyways, I don't know too many people out this way but I know it'll be easier than India was and I know I'll have lots of adventures so stay tuned- I have no idea what I'm getting myself into! Love.
Greg.

This is one of my faves- I crossed the Sierra Nevadas in and the western face was above the clouds. It was really beautiful until I got under the clouds and it was an overcast day!
